Courage

Happy Sunday y’all. 😃💃👏 Glory to God. Happy new month from the blog to all my awesome readers.

I’m super excited and grateful to God for the year thus far. I remember God starting this year with us and how far He has brought us. Matter of fact, it just hit, the first quote or so that came up on the Facebook page of the ‘BlessingShares’ brand, was a quote on courage. 😃👍 Awwww…amazing.

We are here again with the same word, ‘courage!’

“Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”- Joshua 1:9 (KJV)

Sat down a while back with a movie in which the lady wished for courage 😜 (pretty coincidental or not). The good news is, the Bible doesn’t tell us to sit still and wish for courage…no. It is a command! 👏🙌🙏

I read the book of Acts last month (by God’s grace) and when the Lord brought me to the last chapter, it became extremely clear….The Holy Spirit in the lives of the Apostles gave them courage. Period!

The works of the Holy Spirit in their lives, brought about a transformation. Take the life of Paul for instance, he could boldly say in court:

Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision. Acts 26:19

That was not arrogance, that was courage…the God kind of way. See, this courage took him all the way to Chapter 28 verse 31, where after all the trials, he was:

Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.

Amen! Then I received instruction to sing this song, over and over again. I know by Gods grace, it will serve as a call to courage for everyone reading this in Jesus Name.

Courage, brother! do not stumble,

though your path be dark as night;

there’s a star to guide the humble:

trust in God, and do the right.
Let the road be rough and dreary,

and its end far out of sight;

foot it bravely; strong or weary,

trust in God, trust in God, trust in God,

and do the right.
Simple rule and safest guiding,

inward peace, and inward might,

star upon our path abiding,

trust in God, and do the right.
Perish policy and cunning,

perish all that fears the light!

Whether losing, whether winning,

trust in God, and do the right.
Some will hate you, some will love you,

some will flatter, some will slight;

seize from man, and look above you:

trust in God, and do the right.

As we mediate on the words of this hymn- Courage Brother, I pray God will give unto us the courage through His Spirit that dwells within us for every step of the way along our Christian journeys. Amen!

This new month and beyond, ‘have the God-commanded…

    Very inspiring and soul lifting post. I totally agree with you that it was the HolySpirit indwelling the apostles that embolden and gave them to keep going despite the seemingly insurmountable odds against them.
    Apostle Peter is a classical example.

    Thanks for sharing, more graces and wisdom in Jesus name. Amen

      Yes indeed! Glory to God…
      Your comment is a revelation. Amen!
      It was certainly The Holy Ghost that moved in the lives of the Apostles.
      He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He is working in us this day. Amen!
