“Dreams come true. Without that possibility, nature would not incite us to have them.”- John Updike
Saw an epic billboard a while back that portrayed the ‘overnight’ success of Olajumoke Orisaguna (I don’t know her story that perfectly, but I know she came into the spotlight suddenly)…
In my head, I’m like ‘wow’….That caption on that billboard is awesome. It simply stated ‘Dreams come true’.
…I thought within myself…was that woman really ‘dreaming’ all the while she hawked bread on the streets?
Then I received instruction…she certainly must have had a glimpse of a dream at one point or another. The dream might not have been certain or it possibly did not have an end-point at that time, but this unprecedented rise to the spotlight must have been sown by at least; a dream of ‘a better life’.
It leads me to the interpretation of this instruction…How would a dream come true?
While you are at it, do not misinterpret the idea of dreaming. You certainly may not be where you want to be the moment you start dreaming, but that has nothing to do with the ability to see your dream come true. On the other hand, you most assuredly will not end up in some great place without that initial seed sowing process of at least a better dream.
Nature (created by God, I believe strongly) incites us to have the hope for a better future, inspite of our present situation. Matter of fact, this is what the hope of eternal life is all about…
So today, wouldn’t you rather sow a dream? You will reap it whether you like unexpected success or YES!
