The Dream…

This experience was written on the 10th of November, 2019

I pledged today to the Lord, to influence people that the Lord has given unto me, for Eternal life with Him. Not anymore for some earthly goal/dream of making passion wealth, of living an excellent servant-led life, or of even achieving ‘one’s dreams’ only, but of knowing JESUS Christ and living for Him.

The news of my friend’s death has me thinking, and crying, and introspecting. Like…he was like a brother to me. Though you may call him a ‘Mentee’, for me, he was a Brother. I was telling Mum today of how he was the only first-class graduate in his Eco(nomics) set, and how he always asked me questions on how to keep a first-class grade. I gave him concrete advice on the lecture courses and the encouragement that he could do it. He did it! He did! He kept on with that zeal and passion – he became a financial analyst, did great PowerPoint presentations and more 🙂

I took a screenshot of a message conversation we had on LinkedIn, the brief was, ‘You’ve been a positive influence in my life’. My response was in summary, ‘It’s great to know you too. Keep soaring’. And soared he did, he soared to the heavens. Today in the service, the Holy Spirit was telling me, as the tears flowed freely, ‘Let your friend rest. He is resting. Let him rest’. Although the same way I asked myself yesterday when I found out the tragic way he was killed – all because he got a new car – I began to say, ‘Did I push him too far?’, ‘Was my expectation of success what drove him to that ‘excellence’?’, ‘Did I inspire him too much?’

Well, the Holy Spirit told me again, ‘Blessing, it is not your fault’. Though I have decided going forward, my influence on those I’m privileged to meet will be of Christ, towards Eternal life, in literal conversation. It won’t be only, ‘Achieve your dreams to the glory of God’. It will be, ‘Have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed?’ Matter of urgency, ‘Do you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and unto Whom were ye baptized?’ Then we can have an influential conversation and remain good friends, because, ‘The dream my friend, is Heaven’

For here we have no continuing city, but we seek one which is to come. And sadly some have left before others, even at a young age of 25/26 – as my friend did. I pray the influence I had on him was not only earthly, and that from stating, ‘Thank God for His grace’ in my reply to his message in 2017, I pray he had a real personal relationship with God indeed – the Lord Jesus Christ. He will raise up his sleeping body on that day of His soon return. Amen.

End of experience-sharing.

Now, according to the Scriptures, it is not the Will of the Lord that the young should die. Therefore I reject the death of young people in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated.

Deuteronomy 34:7 (KJV)

As Moses lived to fulfill the number of his years, we will all live to fulfill the number of our years to the glory of God. AMEN!

It’s well with you my dear! You need to forget those things which are behind and reach out to those things which are before as beloved brother Paul has admonished us. Don’t sorrow like those in the world who have no hope. And more importantly we need to always cover ourselves and our loved ones with the blood of Jesus and claim live in other to avoid ugly incidents like this. Please cheer and move on with life and sorrow no more for God has come to give you beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning. Cheers and remain blessed 🙏❤️ Your mom.
