SADNESS

Sorrow is better than laughter: for by the sadness of the countenance the heart is made better.

Ecclesiastes 7:3 (KJV)

It is normal to be sad. It is. Mourn with those who mourn, rejoice with those who rejoice. If something goes wrong with someone in the world, it is okay to be sad about it.

The excess of sadness is what is bad. Then you begin to drift away as someone with no hope, without God. Now, then you must get to praying. Get a grip – cast out that devil of depression! Coz that is not even sadness anymore – the demon trying to stop you from living God’s will for your life.

Joy is God’s will for your life. Choose joy every day, even in the time of sadness. You must be able to say, ‘Thank you, Jesus, for everything!’ You must have the assurance that He is on His Throne, and because He’s on His Throne, All is Well.

Now, the world might be turning upside down, ‘as usual’. Even your life might be ‘bleak’; even then, choose joy. For sadness is an emotion, but JOY, *joy is a fruit of the Spirit.

Reference: Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV)
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, *joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
