“A spiritual gift is a supernaturally designed ability granted to every believer by which the Holy Spirit ministers to the body of Christ. A spiritual gift cannot be earned, pursued or worked up. It is merely “received” through the grace of God.”
-Author: John MacArthur
Today we will be reviewing an awesome book that has blessed so many lives and will bless yours too; ‘The Gifts of the Holy Spirit’ by Peter Tan👐👏
Scriptural Text: 1 Corinthians 12:1-11
INTRODUCTION😃
The Manifestation of the Holy Spirit:
The nine gifts of the Holy Spirit can be divided into three categories-
1. the Revelation gifts – the word of wisdom, the word of knowledge, discerning of spirits;
2. the Power gifts – the gift of faith, the working of miracles, the gifts of healing;
3. the Vocal gifts- the gift of prophecy, varieties of tongues, interpretation of tongues.
THE REVELATION GIFTS
The revelation gifts are so called because they reveal something.
1. The Word of Wisdom :
The word of wisdom is a revelation of the mind of God pertaining to things in the future.
2. The Word of Knowledge:
The word of knowledge is a revelation of the mind of God pertaining to things past and present.
3. Discerning of Spirits:
Discerning of spirits is the supernatural ability imparted by the Holy Spirit to see into the spiritual world.
There are three main operations of discerning of spirits:
Closed vision, Open vision and Spiritual vision- These are the three types of visions that are received when this gift operates.
All the three types of visions can come in three categories: the Allegorical vision, the Message vision and the Plain vision.
SPIRITUAL NUGGET:
It is a necessary part of the Christian life to discern right from wrong. The ability to discern is developed through prayer and meditation on the Word of God.
IT’S A WRAP:
For this week💃…join us next week for the other divine Gifts of the Holy Spirit👐👏
God bless you.
LET’S DO IT:
Do drop examples of persons in the Bible that manifested any or all of the Revelation gifts😃…greater blessings as you do.

Hi
Isaiah had revelation gifts. He saw the future before it happened.
Peter had discernment of spirits, he knew Annanais and Sapphira had lying and stealing spirits and they received judgment immediately for their actions.
I’ve seen such in my college fellowship and in my life also, I appreciate this blogpost.
Can’t wait for the next one.
Cheers

b) Word of Knowledge: Peter had a word of knowledge regarding Ananias (Acts 5:3, 4). – as already stated as a comment by Tess😃
c) Discerning of spirits: Paul saw an angel of God with him (Acts 27:23, 24).
